Best Stones for Fishing Rod in King Legacy
For catching fish, the useful documented priorities are crafting the Basic Rod and timing casts. Public stone descriptions concern combat effects; none of the reviewed sources identifies a stone that improves fishing luck or catch speed.

| 1 | Craft Basic Rod at Mystic Bookkeeper | A rod is required to begin fishing; use Logs and Scrap. | 2 sources · wiki + Roonby |
| 2 | Cast near water and reel after a bite | These are the fishing actions described by both guides. | 2 sources · wiki + Roonby |
| 3 | Time the cast closer to 100 | The Basic Rod wiki says this raises the chance of a rare fish; no stone bonus is specified. | 1 source · Basic Rod wiki |
The Basic Rod occupies an unusual position: the community wiki calls it a Common sword, and its Swords overview says swords can be enchanted at the Blacksmith. The rod page also lists combat skills. These details make a blanket claim that “rods cannot take stones” too strong. They do not, however, establish that a particular stone changes the fishing minigame. A stun applied to an enemy and a bonus to catching a rare fish are different effects.
The comparison table lists thirteen real King Legacy stones and the effects published on their individual wiki pages. It is alphabetical by default and can be sorted or filtered by stone name or effect. The fishing-rank and fishing-bonus columns stay empty because the reviewed sources give no measured catch advantage for these stones. An empty cell means that the source does not supply that field. It does not mean a measured zero-percent bonus.
For fishing progression, craft the Basic Rod at the Mystic Bookkeeper before allocating rare materials to a combat enchantment. The community wiki gives a recipe of ten Rusted Scrap and thirty Logs; Roonby independently describes crafting it with Logs and Scrap through the same NPC. The wiki then describes left-clicking near water, timing the cast closer to one hundred, and pushing the reeling bar right with input while it moves left automatically. Roonby independently describes casting at water and clicking to reel. These are the documented fishing actions that answer the goal behind a “best fishing stone” search.
For combat, select an effect according to the problem you want to solve: Bloodthirsty and Life describe recovery, Spark describes a stun, Abyss describes anti-healing, and Disillusion removes an enchantment. Those are role descriptions from the wiki, not a tested damage ranking. The linked materials and sword guides cover combat preparation. The rod upgrade page separately lists its crafting and upgrade materials; damage upgrades should not be relabeled as increased fishing rarity without evidence.
Source method: the stone rows each use their named community wiki page and are marked one source. The Basic Rod classification and Blacksmith enchantment statement come from two pages maintained by that same community, so they count as one source, not two independent confirmations. The fishing workflow is compared with Roonby’s independent guide. All listed sources were checked on 7 November 2026.

Questions
Which stone is best for catching rare fish?
The reviewed sources do not identify a stone with a measured fishing-luck benefit. The Basic Rod wiki instead describes cast timing closer to 100.
Is the Basic Rod a sword?
The community wiki classifies Basic Rod as a Common sword and lists combat skills. Its Swords overview describes enchantments generally; that does not establish fishing bonuses for a particular stone.
Why are fishing rank and bonus blank?
The cited stone descriptions give combat effects. They do not supply fishing-rank or catch-bonus figures, so those cells have no value.
