To craft a Basic Rod, bring Mystic Bookkeeper 10 Rusted Scrap and 30 Logs. The community wiki and Patch Crazy both describe this recipe. Cast near water; hold and release the input to aim the timing meter, then keep the moving pointer inside the highlighted area while the catch meter fills.

Fish can be sold to Fisher Frank or used for item luck boosts. Fisher Frank is listed at Starter Island, Floresco Town and The Unearthly. The wiki lists a maximum fishing level of 500.
